Neil Jordan, Oliver Stone, Dennis Hopper, Morgan Freeman and french director Bertrand Tavernier are among the awarded artists of the 25th Film Festival of Brussels (Belgium).
Catherine Deneuve will be on stage to give the award to american star Morgan Freeman (Amistad will close the festival).
But Deneuve will receive a special Award for her career achievement too.
The Festival will elect the best europeans actresses, actors and films of the last quarter of century.
The 5 movie nominees are Breaking the Waves (France-Denmark), Il Postino (France-Italy-United Kingdom), Brazil (United Kingdom), Daens (Belgium-Netherland), et C'est arrivé près de chez vous (Belgium).
The 5 actor nominees are the late Marcello Mastroianni (Italy), Gérard Depardieu, Philippe Noiret (both from France), Jan Decleir (Belgium) and Sir Anthony Hopkins (U.Kingdom).
The 5 actress nominees are Juliette Binoche (France), Emma Thompson (U.Kingdom), Hanna Schygulla (Germany), Victoria Abril (Spain)...and Catherine Deneuve (France).
The Festival begins the 20th of January and ends the last day of the month.
