Deneuve is Best
September 1998
Place Vendôme is now one of the major movie of the long Deneuve's career.
At Venice 98, one of the 5 biggest film festival in the world, and the eldest, she won the Best Actress prize (Silver Lion).
This is the first time she wins a such big prize for her performance. Deneuve was honored at Berlin (1965 and 1998), but never won a prize at Cannes or Venice.
Her movie, Belle de Jour, was a Golden Lion winner...in 1967!
Sept 30th: Place Vendome will be in french Theaters. And Deneuve will be certainly nominated for a Cesar. Again.
