Deneuve goes North June 99
May 17th: Dancer in the dark begins. The Lars Von Trier's musical is filmed by digital cameras (one hundred), choregraphied by Vincent Patterson, and played by Bjork (the singer), Jean-Marc Barr (The Big Blue), Stellan Skarsgard (Breaking the Waves, Good Will Hunting), and Catherine Deneuve. She changes her look: she seems younger, hype and like a Demy's character. She plays the best friend of Bjork, a Czech single mother immigrant in the USA. |
