French marshall May 2000 Toni Marshal, daughter of famous actress Micheline Presle, was an actress before to be a director. After the critic's acclaimed "Pas catholique" with Anemone and Nathalie Baye, she wrote and direct "Vénus Beauté (Institut)" with Nathalie Baye, Mathilde Signer, Audrey Tautou and Bulle Ogier. The movie won a "bouquet" of Cesar including Best movie, best screenplay and best young actress. At Cannes, Marshall announced two projects, two movies she will do back to back next year. The first one os "Au plus près du Paradis" (Closest to Heaven) and will star Catherine Deneuve. The shooting will start next spring. Just before, she will part of the cast, along Cannes's winner Elodie Bouchez and Cesar's winner Romane Bohringer, of the super-production of "Tom Pouce" (Tom Thumb) - budget : 12 million $ (some special effects and an esthetic close to Peau d'Ane).
