Deneuve has no time for festivals.
She has cancelled her presence at San Francisco for the north-american premiere of Genealogies of a crine.
Attending at Cannes for the last week-end, she arrived the last day on the french riviera station.
Deneuve was on stage to give the (double) Golden palm. Jeanne Moreau was presenting the ceremony and Isabelle Adjani, as President of the jury, was introducing the winner. The three graces.
One of the winner, Iranian helmer Abbas Kiarostami, kissed Deneuve. It was a shock in Iran, where the religious law censors this kind of act.
At last, Deneuve said in Les Inrockuptibles (published during the fest) that Cannes is like a game: you go to jail for the tour, yhen you can replay.
She was not totally absent of the festivities. A short feature directed by Leos Carax, a sort of preview of the upcoming Pola X, was showed the second day of the Cannes fest.
We see Deneuve driving a white Rolls Royce and crying. She says "Oh Hamlet" a lot of times. Really amazing.
