Venise 2009 : la compétition
De Tornatore en ouverture au Van Dormael que personne ne voulait en passant par Chéreau, Akin et Moore, la sélection s'avère surtout renouvelée, en incluant des premiers films comme celui de l'ancien styliste Tom Ford. Etonnament la France est présente en force avec quatre films. Les américains envahissent aussi la lagune au détriment des cinémas d'Amérique latine complètement absents.
