Invincible, American Sniper et autres Interstellar ont été snobés par les 72e Golden Globes. D'autres favoris comme Mr. Turner et Wild ont été oubliés. En revanche, Boyhood, Birdman, The Imitation game et The Grand Budapest Hotel pavanent dans plusieurs catégories.

Côté acteurs, la liste est quasiment calquée sur celles des Screen Actors Guild Awards. Notons le doublé de Julianne Moore (en drame et en comédie) et la présence de Lana del Rey et de Patty Smith dans la catégorie chanson.

Birdman domine largement la liste des nominations avec 7 citations devant Boyhood et The Imitation Game (5 chacun), Gone Girl, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Selma et The Theory of Everything (4 chacun). Côté studios, Fox Searchlight surclasse The Weinstein Company (12 contre 10). Au total les indépendants raflent près des 3/4 des nominations.
Voilà qui relance une compétition pour les Oscars décidément très ouvertes.

Pour les Golden Globes, les gagnants seront connus le 11 janvier. Le Cecil B. De Mille Award sera décerné à George Clooney.
